This is What Always Happens
Let's start with the good stuff: I ran 4 miles non-stop this weekend. It was a beautiful day and I felt very good and accomplished at the end. I also did my 50 min cross training workout on Sunday.
The bad news: My Saturday run was sloooooow. I can't seem to run any faster without pooping out though, and in a lot of ways I'd rather just finish than run + walk. (Although I have heard that at the beginning of a training bout some walking is good. Perhaps I'll have to rethink this whole thing.)
I pigged out Friday night. Lots of wine, and pretzels, and I shared a plate of nachos. Ugh.
As always, my body punishes me for even one large calorie day and I spiked up 3 pounds and am having trouble coming back down. :\
And that's what always happens. I'm doing well, losing weight, then once every other week or so I either miss a bunch of workout or have a couple big meals and I'm back where I started. I get really frustrated that even though I'm working hard the majority of the time, the minority of the time overwhelms that and I end up gaining weight.
Blech.
Nothing to do but try again. And try to moderate the times I go nuts. :B
