Almost Done
I'm coming up on the end of my 10 miler training. This weekend will be my last long long run before the race. (I'll do 6 miles next Saturday.)
I did my 8 mile run this past Sunday and now that that distance is behind me I really feel like I will be able to finish this race running. :) Since Sunday though I haven't been running according to my schedule. Something strange is up with my left knee. I think it's healing from whatever damage I did to it while running in the wrong shoes, but it's still a bit tight and sore. No real pains like before but I'm being cautious of over using is before the race.
Today I'm just going to run 3 miles on the treadmill I think. Friday is a rest day, and then Saturday I'll so some easy paced cross training. Hopefully I'll be ready for another 8 mile run on Sunday. :)
Then tapering. Yay! I've been looking forward to that for a while. XD
After the race I'm going to take a couple days of rest and then just do some 2 mile runs to be nice and easy on my body. Then I think I'm going to stick to 3-4 mile runs during the week, mixed with a lot more cross training and weight lifting. That should keep me in shape for the winter. :)
